Shelter design is the cradle of architectural study.  To
have the interest and curiosity to initiate the creation of
your own habitat is a brave and creative effort.  Seek a
design professional who will truly listen to you, embrace
your ideas and interests, and help to answer your
questions.  Finding a level of comfort and trust in your
designer is essential.  The two way conversation is an
enlightening path.

Pursue an individual with a strong and creative
background of experience.  Evaluate education,
training, and consider completed projects.  Get a sense
of the range, diversity, and vision the designer
possesses. Architecture is a collective evaluation of
numerous disciplines.  The ability to bring together
appropriate interests and knowledge into a project that
will feel like home to you is the essence of my practice.
"Doug’s ability to see the finished job before picking up a
pencil is one of his best qualities.  His problem solving,
personality and experience in the field of construction has
proven to be a huge asset to my projects."
